How I got over a break-up
Everything will get be okay.
About two weeks ago, my boyfriend and I broke up. It has been hard. I thought I would never go through something like this.
Let me tell you quick how our relationship went down.
We were on our 2 year anniversary dinner and we were talking about how perfect our relationship is. So while we were enjoying ourselves we saw each other in the eye and said “It’s over huh”. WEIRD! we realized we want different things and that’s okay. We decided to stay friends and for now, everything is going great.
Until this weekend.
Not going to lie, but it has been getting hard. I miss him! Since Friday I have been some kind of depressed and relied on alcohol. For everyone out there who think that alcohol y going to make things better, is so not true. Don’t do it, is better to eat all the junk food you can think of, instead of relying on drinking. My hangovers have been sad like I don’t feel like talking our even waking up. For your own good, don’t rely on things that can lead on to addictions.
So this morning I decided to snap out of it and move on. I thank the universe to let me have my ex-boyfriend close to me and able to be my friend and still be in each others life. So instead of staying sad, crying with friends and drinking, partying so my feelings can “go away”, I decided to get involved in new plans and meet new people. In short, live life.
I see friends that get depressed for months for this kind of situations and think that being sad for a long time is okay. No, don’t do that, life is short so let’s get on with our lives and enjoy what we have in front of us.
Relationships come and go and some day the perfect person will come.
If you’re dealing with a break-up, is so not the end of the world. Have fun! Being single feels good sometimes and it’s an opportunity to start over and try new things and most importantly through experiences we learn better than not having them. We get to know ourselves better and get to know what we like and what are we looking for.
If your meant to be with a person, it will be. Just let the universe work it’s magic.
